The final of Big Brother 2011 saw Aaron claim the £50,000 prize fund but it wasn't all rosy for the victor as he left to a chorus of boos.

Being the first house mate in the history of the reality series to be jeered by the crowd as he left was clearly confusing for the dad of one, who kept saying “Why do they hate me so much?” as he prepared to leave.

Unlikely Champ?

The past nine weeks have been far from easy for the self professed 'ladies man' from Weston Super Mare. He was nominated a whopping 25 times during the series, more than any other housemate. The stroppy wannabe, who faced the public vote four times, told how he “thought he was going on several occasions” but he was always saved by his fans.

Erratic Behavior

It is thought that his erratic behavior explained the unusually bitter reaction from the public on his exit. His fellow housemates were often left baffled by his emotional outbursts and he was renowned for his tantrums, especially when it came to fellow housemate and love interest Faye Palmer.

The 30-year-old found love with professional wrestler Faye and the pair embarked on a turbulent relationship that was on and off more times than the bedroom lights. With this came shock, when in a change to nominations he even received a vote from Faye's mum who was unhappy with his treatment of her daughter.

Despite there spats though, Aaron and Faye sorted their differences and officially became a couple before Faye left last week.

Game Plan

The series saw Aaron in a string of bust ups with most of his fellow housemates because of his actions.

Another nominations twist, saw Aaron's decision result in Faye being evicted and a birthday surprise turned sour as the wannabe refused to spend his own money to buy Tom and Alex presents.

The arrival of Faye's sister Jem in week five caused further problems for the wannabe as she led others to believe that he had a game plan and wasn't being genuine.

Friends For Life

But it wasn't all bad. Aaron also struck up unlikely friendship with self confessed 'posh boy' Harry and was left devastated when Mark, also one of his closest pals, walked out after four weeks. Aaron named both pals along with girlfriend Faye as the best bits of his reality TV experience.

Happy Ending

Despite a rough ride, BB Super fan Aaron was tearful in a farewell chat with Big Brother saying he "still couldn't believe" he had been in the show. Even though his reception was a little harsh, his quirky personality clearly won the hearts of the public as well as Faye.

Aaron seemed emotional as he anxiously for the winner to be announced and was close to tears when his name was called. When quizzed in his eviction interview Aaron confirmed his love for a blushing Faye before pledging to spend his prize money on his son and family.

The final, which was the first of the series to be aired on Channel 5, saw Model Louise Cliffe finish 4th, followed by ditsy blonde Alex Rose Lee. Fellow Geordie Jay McKray secured second place.

Despite a dip in viewing figures, host and Ultimate Big Brother winner Brian Dowling, closed the show by announcing the return of Celebrity Big Brother which is due to kick off in January.
